Dr. Foster is originally from Athens GA. He attended Samford University in Birmingham, AL to play on the varsity tennis team. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree, and then returned to Athens to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. While in vet school, Dr. Foster met his wife Virginia who is also a veterinarian. After graduation, the Fosters moved back to the Birmingham area and have been serving the area since.

Dr. Foster enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, due to the unique challenges each day brings. He strives each day to give clients and their pets the best possible care.

When not at work, the Fosters enjoy most things outdoors and cooking fun meals. They try to never miss a quick weekend to the mountains. They have two Australian Shepherds, Annie and Terra. In April of 2021, the Fosters welcomed their son Granger to the family, and in 2023 welcomed their daughter Arden to the family.
